Establish an emotional connection.

It is often said that people buy things based on an emotional response. This is especially true of dog owners. How many dog owners buy full outfits for their furry pals or feed them their choice of steak (I actually know someone who feeds her dogs steak while she eats canned soup!)

Laughter and joy are the best way to communicate when selling consumer products. If you make someone feel joy they are more likely to want to connect with you.

So, make them laugh with you.
